WINE STATIONS

  • How do the Wine Stations actually work?

WineStation - How Wine Is Served

WineStation is a powerful, easy to use solution for establishments looking to address the needs of their ever demanding wine purchasing customer base.
Once the WineStation is setup in an establishment and it can to offer samples or full glasses of wine while preserving the freshness for up to 60 days with the use of nitrogen or argon gas.

WineStation - Fully Automated for Staff or Self-Service Applications

The WineStation is fully automated, so no additional staff is required. Either the staff can use the WineStation or simply issue customers AccuServe Smartcards and let them explore and experience new higher priced wines.
In addition to preservation and automation, WineStation's software and reporting tools enable The Naked Grape to track customer preferences, record purchases, and identify the right merchandising and pricing strategies to increase customers positive experience for future visits.

  • Why should I use a Wine Station?

    1. You can taste a variety of wines for a taste price.
    2. You can sample higher priced wines that you may not have tried in the past because they were too expensive or they weren't offered by the glass at any price.
    3. You can taste at your own pace without feeling pressure from waitstaff.
    4. You will never have to wonder if the glass of wine you are paying good money came from an open bottle behind the bar exposed to heat and oxygen.
    5. You will have a great time sampling wines with friends in a manner that will spur dialogue because of the ease of sampling a variety of wines.
    6. You can discover a wine you like before you actually buy the bottle.  No more "shots in the dark".
  • How does the process acutally work at The Naked Grape?

    Step 1 Buy Card

In order to use the Wine Stations of the Naked Grape you will need a special payment card that you can purchase from any staff member.
The Naked Grape Wine Station offers prepaid cards in increments of 25, 50 and 100 dollars. The card can be purchased directly with cash and credit cards or add it your tab and pay at the end of your stay.

    Step 2 Select Wine

Now that you have your Wine Station card, walk over to the Wine Station. You will notice there are a variety of different types of wine at various prices.
You have a choice to purchase a taste, a half glass, and a full glass. I recommend that you try wine by the glass for you first timers until you find one that you like. Then purchase a half or full glass of wine. Don’t forget you can buy a full bottle as well it that is more fitting for your group.

    Step 3 Insert Card

Ok, now hold your wine glass under the nozzle of the wine you want to try. Make your selection of taste, half glass or full glass by pushing the appropriate button at the top of the wine station.
The wine will pour out of the nozzle with the correct portion. If the bottle is emptied before your portion is complete, don’t worry you will be charged only what you got in your glass.

    Step 4 Push Button

Ok, now hold your wine glass under the nozzle of the wine you want to try. Make your selection of taste, half glass or full glass by pushing the appropriate button at the top of the wine station.
The wine will pour out of the nozzle with the correct portion. If the bottle is emptied before your portion is complete, don’t worry you will be charged only what you got in your glass.
  • Do I have to buy from the Wine Station?

No.  Think of the Wine Stations as a tool.  It is there for you to sample new wines, sample higher priced wines that you wouldn't buy by the bottle or when you just want a glass of wine and knowing it has not "turned" sitting behind the bar for days on end.  If you know what you want, then by all means buy a bottle and enjoy.  The Naked Grape wine staff are there to help you with your selection and purchase.
  • How do I pay for the Wine Station Accuserve card?

The card used to track your wine consumption can be paid for in a variety of ways.
